GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform minor maintenance and repair duties for the custody and care of the facility to provide a safe, secure, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient educational environment. This would include light electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general repairs and maintenance. Perform limited custodial and grounds tasks as needed including setting up for programs and activities and any special projects assigned. Shall attend to the needs of students, staff, and the general public utilizing the building and site.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Has maintained regular attendance with no occurrences of attendance abuse during the previous two
years as described in Article 13 Section D of this contract.
Must have the ability to work with other personnel in the installation and repair of equipment. Must have successfully completed a district recognized courses in Plumbing 1, Electricity 1, Steam Plant 1, and Blueprint Reading. The District Training Committee will attempt to identify and pre-approve all recognized courses. If the committee is unable to identify a recognized course, equivalent training and/or work experience as approved by the committee may be accepted.
Employees are encouraged to meet these qualifications by participating in the OJT program.
POSITION EXPECTATIONS:
Maintain the knowledge and skills necessary for plumbing tasks including but not limited to replacing leaking faucet washers, flush valves; repairing drinking fountains, leaking urinals or toilets; rodding or unclogging floor drains or sink traps.
Maintain the knowledge and skills necessary for HVAC systems (air supply units, roof top units, unit ventilators, VAV systems, etc.) including but not limited to lubrication, changing filters or belts, cleaning coils, servicing exhaust fans, adjust TOD schedules in the building automation system (BAS), print reports, and monitor and operate all building equipment controlled by the BAS.
Maintain the knowledge and skills necessary for corrective and preventative maintenance including but not limited to custodial equipment, repairing student lockers, installing pencil sharpeners, maintaining interior finishes, repairing and adjusting door frames and door hardware, and repairing or patching building roofs.
Perform general custodial duties and assist other maintenance or grounds keeping employees when needed.
Perform snow removal and salting on an occasional basis as needed.
Perform assigned tasks in the amount of time appropriate to the task at hand.
Identify and/or take action to remedy potential safety and health problems.
Project a positive image of the District to the public, staff, and students.
Report in writing to the designated supervisor any observed misuses or needed repairs to school property.
Participate in District sponsored training programs to maintain and/or update knowledge, skills, certifications, and licenses as required for this position. Perform additional related duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelor of Science in Nursing
-Current Illinois Registered Nurse license with two years of nursing experience.

-Possess or show evidence of eligibility for a valid Illinois teaching certificate or a provisional certificate.

TRANSPORTATION SUPERVISOR GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: This position involves constant communication with schools and the public in routing and scheduling cost efficient transportation services in the safest possible manner for District 214. SPECIFIC DUTIES: 1. Route buses and taxicabs utilizing the transportation software. 2. Develop pick-up and departure procedures for buses and taxicabs. 3. Ensures District transportation policies and procedures are adhered to by bus companies and taxicab companies. 4. Monitor ridership (including all three (3) athletic seasons) to ensure that the District is transporting students in a
cost efficient and timely manner. 5. Review transportation invoices for accuracy and prompt payment. 6. Schedule and implement necessary training for bus and taxicab drivers. 7. Coordinates activity bus training of district personnel with the schools. 8. Completes and submits transportation claim to State Board of Education at end of fiscal year. 9. Assists in negotiating transportation contracts with bus and taxicab contractors. 10. Assists in developing specifications for District transportation needs. 11. Maintain accurate, qualified insurance certificates for approved transportation vendors. 12. Maintain schedule for video cameras used on school buses. 13. This is a specialized position that provides support for all technology systems in the district. This includes troubleshooting, assisting with hardware and software inventory, documentation and related tasks.
The Network Services Assistant will provide a help desk service to staff in the routine maintenance of computer hardware and software, network infrastructure, and other technology systems. Organizational skills, initiative, independent judgment, courtesy and tact are essential to this position as well as continually learn new technologies, products and applications.
-Must have knowledge of computers and various appropriate related software. -Must have knowledge of various computer operating systems gained through education and/or technical training or equivalent experience in computer/media technologies. -Must move around frequently within the building as well as access all electrical/computer connections. -Must possess high mechanical/technical aptitude, troubleshooting and problem solving
