Abe Reese, President and Founder
Abe is the Founder and President of General ASP. A software engineer by training, Reese has been responsible for the development of many of General ASP’s processes and systems as well as the principal development of our flagship product, AppliTrack. Currently, he oversees the daily operations of the company including our financial planning and management, the development and continuous improvement of our customer support team, the system analysis and architecture of the AppliTrack product as well as providing the overall leadership and business goals of General ASP.
Prior to General ASP, Abe was a senior programmer for United Stationers, a leading office supply and distribution firm. Reese’s formal education is from Northern Illinois University where he graduated with his Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science. In addition, Reese was a founding member of the Making Managers into Leaders (MMIL) Institute and is a qualified Web Solutions Microsoft Partner.

Corey Maxey, Vice President of Operations
Corey is the VP of Operations. Corey has over 10 years of IT experience in a variety of industries and roles.  Currently, he contributes to both application development and product support. Additionally, he is responsible for our technology infrastructure. Prior to joining General ASP, Corey worked for the University of Illinois, Lucent Technologies and as a technology consultant.Â
Corey graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BS in Computer Science.

Keith Westman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Keith is the VP of Sales and Marketing for General ASP. In this position, Keith is responsible for the marketing and positioning of General ASP as a brand, and AppliTrack as a product. He also serves as a sales manager to thirteen regional sales representatives that are located throughout the United States.
Prior to working at General ASP, Keith spent ten years in the field of public education. Most recently, Keith served as a middle school principal in suburban Chicago. Prior to the principalship, Keith was an elementary school district Director of Technology and a third grade teacher. Keith has a Masters Degree in Education from DePaul University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from National-Louis University, and is currently a Doctoral candidate in the School of Education at Loyola University Chicago.

Chris Hoehn, Systems Manager
Chris has more than ten years of web-application development experience. Since joining General ASP as a sales associate and lead trainer in October of ’06, he has become a system manager focusing on integration and infrastructure programming in the AppliTrack system. Chris wears other hats - also acting as program manager for K12JobSpot.com, providing technical sales support, and hosting many of the AppliTrack webinars.Â
His background includes three years creating solutions for hospitality and travel, five years of work as a system administrator and service manager for a large public school district, and three years of training and consulting on educational technologies. Chris holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota and is an ITIL practitioner.

Jen Reese, Business Manager/Client Services Specialist
Jen is the current Business Office Manager at General ASP. Jen is responsible for accounts receivable and is the main contact for districts with payment questions or concerns. Jen also assists the Support Team by making initial contact with new General ASP clients. Jen particularly enjoys working with new clients and supporting them as the go through the AppliTrack installation. In addition, Jen assists the president with human resources-related issues. Prior to General ASP, Jen was employed as a school psychologist in a high school district.Â
Jen earned her Educational Specialist and Master’s of Education degrees from National Louis University and her Bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University.

Matt Barclay, Technical Specialist
Matt came to General ASP in April 2008. He brought a wealth of customer service experience to the table, from a variety of industries. His background is mainly in IT service and support- infrastructure support and development, large scale rollouts, asset management, systems analysis and architecture. He has also developed and maintained web content for a variety of applications. His experience is not limited to the technical sphere- he also has experience in university admissions, and in creative and developmental roles in a variety of other areas. This background has given him the knowledge, empathy, and patience required to provide first-class technical support for the education sector.

Andrew Michael, Technical Specialist
Andrew is a Technical Support Programmer and Developer on the Support and Development Team at General ASP. Having joined the company in February 2009, Andrew implements new features and improvements to the AppliTrack product. He also responds to customer requests for assistance by both phone and email.
Andrew has spent the last 10 years working as a programmer. His work experience includes designing, developing, and implementing programs to collect information and process real-time transactions on behalf of large and small business and government customers. He has developed solutions for a variety of problems brought to him by customers with very tight deadlines.

Aaron Stringer, Marketing Coordinator
Aaron is the Marketing Coordinator for General ASP. In this position he is responsible for development, production and dissemination of marketing materials. His contribution to General ASP is not limited to the marketing department – he has also produced graphics for the company website and assisted in sales efforts. Prior to joining General ASP, he worked as a market researcher on numerous advertising initiatives for Mazda Cars USA. Additionally, he worked as an Advertising Account Executive for the Chicago Sun-Times News Group.Â
Aaron holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Graphic Art from Drake University.

Dr. Sam Reese, AppliTrack Lead Trainer
Sam is the lead trainer for General ASP. In addition to serving in this capacity, Sam is an Associate Professor Emeritus at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Prior to his tenure at U of I, Sam worked in the field of public education for twenty-four years as a teacher, director, and Assistant Superintendent of Schools. Sam is considered a pioneer and leader in the field of educational technology as he has been published in dozens of books, journals, and periodicals.
Sam holds a Doctoral and Master’s degrees from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University.
